IS ECOTOK A NATURAL CHARCOAL?

Yes, Ecotok is a charcoal produced with 100% Coconut shell, without adding chemical additive pollutant.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN BENEFITS OF ECOTOK?

Ecotok has higher calorific value, is more economical and takes 1/3 of the space occupied by regular charcoal. It is an eco-friendly and renewable product, produced with 100% coconut shell and burns slowly at high temperature.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A REGULAR CHARCOAL AND ECOTOK?

Ecotok is a special charcoal because it does not produce flames. It cooks with the ember in high temperature, avoiding to burn meats and other types of food. In addition, it lasts longer, approximately +3h30, more efficient and economical. It is made with coconut shell, a renewable and eco-friendly source.

CAN I USE ALCOHOL GEL AND / OR LIQUID, OR OIL OR NEWSPAPER TO LIGHT ECOTOK?

No, never use alcohol gel or any other flammable liquid, nor paper moistened with flammable liquid to light Ecotok. As the product has low humidity, it is only necessary to use the stainless steel container or fire starter (learn more).

CAN ECOTOK BE USED IN STEAKHOUSES AND / OR RESTAURANTS?

Yes, Ecotok can be used with many logistical and economic advantages in restaurants and steakhouses. Including taking up 1/3 only of space that other charcoals occupy. Also, no meat is burnt, since it grills on high temperature ember heat (learn more).

WHAT PACKAGING SIZES CAN I PURCHASE ECOTOK?
Ecotok is sold in packs of 10 kg (22 LB). Soon we will introduce into the market other sizes and formats.
IS ECOTOK MORE ECONOMIC THAN REGULAR CHARCOAL?

Yes, Ecotok requires roughly two thirds of the amount of regular charcoal. Besides that, you can make barbecue for more people because of its long duration.

WHAT IS THE ECOTOK AVERAGE TEMPERATURE?

The average temperature of the lit Ecotok is approximately 350ºC / 450°C.

HOW MUCH OF ECOTOK CHARCOAL DO I NEED TO MAKE MY BBQ?

To make your barbecue with Ecotok, you will use only 2/3 of the amount used with regular charcoal. As you get used with, savings can be even greater.

DOES ECOTOK CHARCOAL PRODUCE ANY ODOR?
Ecotok is odorless. The only odor you will notice is from your delicious cooked and grilled food, during the barbecue.
